Developing Technical Training Workshop

Based on her best selling book, Developing Technical Training, Dr. Clark will distill the main tools and techniques you need to pre-engineer the right instructional methods into your training materials. This hands-on workshop will teach you how to distinguish among five types of content in your lesson and how to write learning objectives at the application level of performance. You will then learn to write lesson handout materials that use the right methods matched to each information type.

As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Distinguish among fact, concept, process, procedure, and principle
  • Distinguish between remember and use levels of performance
  • Cite the tradeoffs of student note taking
  • Design lesson handouts that preengineer the right instructional methods
